Family Tree Tool for The Sims
The newest family tree tool for The Sims is the PlumTree. Created by Tobias, this app allows you to develop family trees for Sim Legacies. Players can create simple family trees with certain Sim specific inclusions. Get a peek at the app here:
Hi everyone, my name is Tobias and I’m the creator of The Plum Tree, a web app I’ve been developing to build family trees for Sim Legacies.
The Plum Tree’s focus is on creating simple family trees with a few sim specific additions. Things like aspirations, traits and other even weirder stuff you can’t get in other family tree apps such as alien abductions and cloning.
It all started when my girlfriend began writing her legacy story; in each of the early generations we would load up Photoshop and drag lines and avatars around until it looked right, which was a pain.
So I buckled down and started coding. With her help, and more recently with a really great set of alpha testers from the Simming community, we have now released the open BETA for anyone to sign up and try the app themselves.
We allow you to publish trees to web pages where visitors with the link can explore the tree by dragging and zooming with their mouse – check out the Bloomer family tree we published. Click on the sims’ avatars to get even more info about their lives.
It’s free to sign up if you’d like to give it a go yourself. Be sure to check out our guides to get the most out of the app. We’re just beginning our adventure with The Plum Tree, are pretty excited and hope the Simming community is too!
