Little Tricks That Will Make The Sims 4 Much Better
When playing the Sims 4, you are always looking for ways to make your experience in-game a lot better than it is right now. There are tons of ways to do this. For the new Sims player, here is a guide with some helpful tips and tricks that will make your gameplay the best ever!
Different camera motions
The controls of the Sims 4 for people who have played TS3 can be a little awkward. The camera never seems to go where you want it to. Adjusting the angle of the camera and moving the world around can be incredibly frustrating. There is a lot of fine-tuning needed before this can get better, but until then you will have to get used to it. There are perks in the new game that can be enjoyed though. For example, there are two modes for the camera. One of these modes allows for the more precise camera control that was enjoyed in TS3. You can switch between modes using CTRL+SHIFT+TAB on the keyboard. It is also available as an option in the Settings menu.
Get rid of tutorials
The different tips and tutorials on the Sims 4 are going to be pretty useful when you first start playing. However, as you start getting used to the gameplay and how to do things in the world, you will realize that the tutorials just don’t stop showing.
Even the most basic facial customization help bubbles keep popping up and can get on your nerves. Thankfully, you can get rid of these through the game client (Origin). Here is a handy guide for this:
- Open origin
- Right click TS4
- Click “View Properties”
- Under the “Game Properties” popup box, find the Command Line Arguments field.
- Type “–notutorial” and click “Apply”.
Change your jam
Not the flavor of the bread, butter and jam your sim has for breakfast. Rather, you need to learn how to change that annoying soundtrack in-game. When you are a hardcore Sims 4 player, you need to change your game sounds unless you want to be driven insane by the jingle. Copy your MP3 collection into The Sims 4’s Custom Music folder in the game files. It is sorted by genre, so copy it into the one you want and then tune your in-game radio to the relevant station!
C’mon, during your time playing the Sims 4 there are bound to be some moments that you are insanely proud of. A culmination of your hard work. Well, during moments like this, a screenshot may be necessary. Simply press C on your keyboard for an instant screen capture. Alternatively, you can press V to record footage of the moment.
In addition to these handy little tips, there are plenty more that will help your game experience become one of the better out there.
