Introducing Kay: Her Simming Story
Sul, Sul (Hello),
I am Kay, a new writer to Sims Globe and want to tell you more about me and my simming story. If I was to describe myself using Sims traits, you could call me:
- Clumsy; I am forever breaking and spilling things
- Vegetarian; I am a newly turned vegetarian in real life
- Supernatural fan; I find vampires and zombies fascinating
- Neurotic; I am a very paranoid person
- Night owl; I hate early mornings but I manage to stay up all night playing Sims, browsing the web or just watching TV and I seem to acquire a lot more energy during the night-time hours
Now you know my personality, let us go back in time to where my simming story began…
I have always been an enthusiastic simmer since I was 4 years old, when the original Sims came out. I used to soak up the computer screen as my mum played with these little virtual people who I soon grew to love.
A few years later it was my turn to control the life’s of these sims when I got The Sims 2. I recall buying it along with the ‘Teen Life’ expansion and hardly being able to contain myself when waiting for the game to install.
The release of The Sims 3 was when I began to be a truly huge fan. I won the Sims 3 PC game through a magazine competition along with a goodie bag and invitation to a preview of the game (although I sadly had to decline that when I could not find any adult to go with me).
I remember playing The Sims 3 on my step fathers Apple Mac since my computer at the time could not handle it. I then became addicted and started pre-ordering and buying all the expansion and stuff packs along with the Prima Guides. I became an addict. I set up my first Sims related Facebook page, telling the story of a challenge I started called ‘The 100 baby challenge’ (check out the rules of this challenge). As I became more experienced in The Sims 3 I began downloading custom contents and MODS as well as creating my own content for The Sims 3 exchange. I also created a supernatural story when The Sims 3 Supernatural was released, you can check that out here.
As The Sims 3 is nearing an end I am finding myself even more eager to get a head start on finding out everything and preparing for the release of The Sims 4. I am excitedly anticipating its release and have set up yet another Facebook Page, this time with the purpose of supplying news for The Sims 4 and providing me with a platform to share my Sims 4 game content once the game is released.
I am looking forward to writing on this page and have been very active in the forums recently, so head over there to check out more of my views! If you want to know anything more about me, then be sure to ask!
