The General Consensus on Master Suite Stuff
The 5th stuff pack entitled ‘Master Suite Stuff’ has been given the release date of February 10th 2012. Of course, EA have not released much information regarding the stuff pack besides its release date and the fact that it contains high-class, expensive luxury items for your sim.
The general consensus of this expansion pack is one of disappointment. Many people are finding the stuff packs boring and are tired of its similar objects appearing time and time again. Whilst some people will no doubt adore this expansion pack for its fantastically designed products and its scope on modernity, it is not for everyone. Many fans say that it is not the stuff packs that they are interested in anymore, just that they prefer the expansion packs. This is because they feel that more can be gotten out of the expansion packs, such as new places, traits, and actions.
However, there are the majority of the fans whom sincerely love the stuff packs and wait in excitement for any new items that will become available for their sim. It is those fans who are the most disappointed in EA games. It is felt as though EA games are only creating things for the rich sim, and are not giving any options for the lower class sim character. People want to see lower class, cheaper options that add a bit of flare into their virtual house, without having to type the cheat in or save for days at a time.
Many sims fans are looking nostalgically back to The Sims 2, where stuff packs had a diverse range of affordable items, from the H&M stuff pack to the Ikea pack. Each item was crafted with individuality and was not always the most expensive item to purchase. They are hoping that The Sims 3 has a few surprises in store for them over the coming year, as are we all.
Despite what many fans are saying, a spokesman for EA has said that this pack has been requested by multiple fans and that this stuff pack is “male oriented” and that “guys will love it”. This heavily suggests that the new furniture will be targeted for the male portion of the game. Ironically, it is the males who have said they are more interested in expansion packs. Regardless of the disappointment displayed by fans, The Sims 3 is renowned for quality and creativity. Whilst these items may be boring to some, the in-depth detail and the fantastical nature of The Sims 3 products guarantee that there will be plenty of enjoyment derived from this upcoming stuff pack.
